She reported the police and her friends earlier that few men chased and attacked her when she was going to visit her center. The human rights defender was frequently harassed and received several threats regarding his human rights work and his criticism of the human rights violations. Sindh Human Rights Defenders Netowkr condemns the killing of human rights defender Roshan Rajpar as it believes it is directly linked to his peaceful and legitimate work of human rights and women empowerment in Sindh. Furthermore, SHRDN is deeply concerned about the wider crackdown against human rights defenders in the country. Roshan Rajpar’s killing highlights that the space for dissent is closing rapidly in Pakistan.
