World Refugee Day Rights Now Foundation, Center For Migration & Displacement & Sindh Human Rights Defenders Network on the world Refugee Day made a joint demand for addressing the issues of refugees (Afghans,Rohingya, Bihari etc) and ensuring they get their rights.

Police harassment should be immediately stopped and repatriation should be voluntory and as per international law.

These organizations also hailed the commitment of Pakistan to the refugees and despite challenges, Pakistan has shown generosity to its refugee brothers and sisters.

Sindh Mourns the Passing of Karamat Ali, A Human Rights Defender and Labor Rights Activist Sindh mourns the passing of Karamat Ali, a civil society leader, human rights defender and a labor rights activist. On behalf of all the human rights defenders, Sindh Human Rights Defenders Network (SHRDN) wants to pay tribute to Karamat Ali for his tireless work and unwavering commitment to social justice.As the Chief of Pakistan Institute of Labor Education & Research (PILER), Karamat Ali always fought for human rights and human rights defenders. He was exceptionally humble, kind, encouraging and friendly with defenders of all ages.Karamat passed away today in the morning of Junee 20, 2024 Thursday when all were returning from their Eid holidays.We consider Karamat’s death a big loss of civil society of Pakistan. We all defenders believe that Karamat lives in our hearts and his legacy will continue to motivate us all. We pledge to continue his mission in future.We share the grief of his family, civil society and the general public of Sindh & Pakistan.
